In conjunction with the Chief Medical Officer and other applicable Administrators, coordinates his/her working schedule so as to ensure the continuity of patient services. In conjunction with the Access Center staff and Outpatient Service areas he/she admits patients, performs diagnostic evaluations, and monitors all medical related patient issues. Works with Administrators and clinical staff to develop and maintain the Ambulatory Treatment Service philosophy. Provides nights, weekend and holiday coverage as required. Must be generally familiar with hospital operations, policies and procedures, and clinical placement criteria. Perform any duties and/or responsibilities assigned by Manager or Supervisor for which qualified.
Maintains patient confidentiality at all times. Represents the organization in a positive and professional manner in the community. Maintains regulatory requirements, including Joint Commission, Federal and State. Complies with all organizational policies regarding EMHS's Code of Conduct and ethical business practices. Must possess good oral and written communication skills in the English language.
Qualifications
Requires a mature individual who has a medical degree, has successfully completed residency training and is Board eligible or Board Certified in their area of expertise. S/he must qualify for and maintain membership and clinical privileges on the Acadia Hospital and Eastern Maine Medical Center Medical Staff if necessary. Complete i-Care Mandatory Education on a yearly basis. Attend all mandatory safety related education programs. Follow safety procedures to prevent injury to self and others. Carry assigned keys and wears hospital ID badge at all times. Refrain from the abuse of chemicals.
Visual acuity, color vision, hearing acuity, and tactile sensation are necessary to respond to patient response and requests. The ability to read and speak English, to communicate and document information. Must possess the manual dexterity and a degree of body strength and flexibility; to respond to aggressive patient behavior. The ability to reach and stretch intermittently. Time may be spent sitting at a computer, collaborating with other healthcare team members. Standing and walking comprises some of the workday.



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
