Relocation Offered- $2500/$5000 relocation for in-state (more than 50 miles)/Out of state
Graduate of accredited scrub technician program required.
Current Scrub Technician Certification required.
Minimum 1 year experience as scrub technician preferred.
BCLS within 6 months of hire
Job Duties: Set up case-specific instrumentation and supplies. Assist surgeon. Assist surgical team in room set up and turnover.
Physical Requirements: Visual acuity, color vision, hearing acuity, and tactile sensation are necessary to hear physician responses and requests and identify and pass instruments. The ability to read English, manual dexterity, visual acuity, and color vision are required to check for outdates; open a sterile field; locate appropriate instruments and sutures; and manipulate operating instruments. The ST must possess the degree of total body strength and flexibility to assist patients to and from the OR bed. The ST must be able to lift up to 33 lb. instrument sets and to assist with a total lift of 200+ lbs patient with other health care workers. The ST must possess the respiratory volumes and upper body strength to perform CPR and other patient care treatments. Standing or walking comprises 95% of the ST workday. 5% of the time may be done sitting at the computer or collaborating with other health team members. The job involves some sitting, use of a computer and a moderate amount of stooping, pushing, lifting, bending and a large amount of standing and reaching.
Other Requirements:
Weekend and holiday call rotation required.
Non-restricted call required.
Must be able to work in all areas of Advanced Surgical Care of Maine
Working Environment: Fast pace, equipment intensive environment. Fluctuations in temperature. Possible exposure to hazardous chemicals, blood and body fluids, infectious diseases and radiation.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
